Executive Function
Executive function skills include the ability to pay attention, organize and plan thoughts and actions, begin tasks and stay focused without becoming distracted, self-regulation of emotions, as well as self-monitoring. Therapy can focus on improving cognition, working memory, processing speed for thinking/analyzing, organization, problem solving/reasoning, maintaining attention on tasks without distraction, and staying on topic with engagement during activities or conversation.
